Ridgway, you made it hard to leave. I await our next encounter.
Until then, I endeavor to take the strength of community you shared with me along my travels.
Consoling my departure woes with Disc Golf.
I played an evening round at Beaver Ranch following the vans successful accent of Monarch Pass. It felt great to be on the road again not knowing where the day would take me.
May 18th
The next morning I was joined by Bear on her beautiful Bear Mountain Disc Golf Course. Playing one of the worlds top courses was amazing, but paled in contrast to the private guided Bear tour I had for the front nine holes.
Following my round I was treated to excellent conversation with Dan, the course creator and owner, backgrounded by rolling afternoon thunderstorms. I was honored and humbled upon departing when he exclaimed our talks were one he’s needed to hear.
I look forward to my next round with Bear and updates with Dan.
