Employment

Freelance with Brownlie Design, Oct 2018 to 2019

Due to skill, attitude, and positive client responses I supported a design firm who didn’t previously outsource creative development. Working remotely across the country on multiple projects from inspiring future visions to evolutionary interpretations of common items.

Senior Designer at Chase Design, Oct 2008 to Aug 2018

I worked collaboratively with global teams optimizing and refining projects accommodating fast-paced pivots, deadlines, and the challenges inherent in a pioneering scientific industry. Developed physical and digital prototypes of varying fidelities to discover, optimize, and refine strong project paths.

Freelance for 2TON Design, February to Mar 2012

I discovered the creative potential and focus capable when pushing my limits working two design jobs. Developing functional automotive tablet mounts. This practice proved highly creative but difficult to balance.

Pacific Design & Manufacturing, March 2006 to Sept 2007

Worked on up to five different projects daily providing clear guidance to overseas manufacturers. Developing innovative ways to design morally questionable and ordinary products for pharmaceutical representatives looking to meet financial targets. A practice thankfully made illegal as of 2009.

Electrolux Outdoor ProductS, June to Dec 2004

I experienced elements of a professional designer then shared approaches and techniques learned with my classmates. Dealing with deadlines, collaborating, and prototyping with different mediums in varying fidelity.

Carpenter at Vermont Vernacular Designs, Summer 2003

I acquired a foundation of carpentry skills ranging from the ground up framing, roofing, exterior and interior finishes/trim. Enjoying ten hours of hard work daily for a three-day weekend.
